David Catá feels the strong influence of some individuals in his life, close friends and family members. As a way to share this and makes them aware just how much they've meant to him, he sews portraits of them directly into his palms.

Each and every portrait is actually created from just one unbroken dark-colored thread twisted through a dense array of galvanized nails installed on a white colored panel, and therefore the darker spots within the portrait are actually created from the density of the string.
