This tortoise called Gamera has been relinquished by its owner since the animal's leg had experienced a serious thermal injury as well as damaged tissues coming from an unknown source. However, the injury was life-threatening therefore the choice to amputate was made.

Looks like it needs to be a bit more to the side and a bit lower than they placed it for the turtle to be able to move more stably...
