Determined Polar Bear Wrestles With Ice

With nothing much else to do in Alaska Zoo, a young polar bear gets down to the business of retrieving a block of ice.

She may be small but she is mighty..........as you will see as you watch her wrestle with that big block of ice in her pool.

Weather Station Completely Covered By Ice

Sněžka or Śnieżka  is a mountain on the border between the Czech Republic and Poland, the most prominent point of the Silesian Ridge  in the Krkonoše mountains. At 1,602 metres (5,260 ft), its summit is the highest point in the Czech Republic. One side of the mountain is in Poland; the other belongs to the Czech Republic. A wooden weather station was built on the mountaintop ca. 1900, being the only such station in Central Europe. In early 2009 Polish observatory suffered serious damage to the upper disc as a result of extreme weather and structural failure. Fast response from Technical University of Wrocław saved two remaining disc from taking any damage. The restaurant and meteo offices were reopened soon after the construction team had finished clearing the debris and securing what's left of the observatory. After detailed expertise it was decided that no further damage will occur and the building will be restored to its previous state.

Ice Kingdom

In Jelgava, the twelfth time launched an annual festival of ice sculptures. We visited Victory Park on the eve of the opening event. Ice Modding

Already familiar to us from other works of 19-year-old modders Dominique Heibe finished another project, "CoolIT computer case". In this "ice" mode used MDF, acrylic for icicles, blue LEDs for illumination and, apparently, putty to create a snow-covered surfaces. According to the company name on the side of the shell, without sponsorship, the manufacturer of liquid cooling systems, SoolIT systems, could not have done.
