Things to Do and See During Your Spanish Holiday

There are thousands upon thousands of holiday destinations around the world, regardless of whether you’re the outdoorsy type who likes to go on weekend skiing trips, you’re a culture vulture who prefers browsing through galleries and visiting museums and other historic places, or you’re a certified beach bum who wants nothing more than to lie on a hammock and read.

In Europe, there’s one particular destination that has secured a place for itself in the hearts and minds of travellers everywhere: Spain. Holidays to Spain are plentiful for the simple reason that it’s relatively near if you’re living or residing in Europe, and it doesn’t burn a hole in your pocket.

What to do in Costa Brava
If you are heading to Costa Brava, then you already know that it’s a Mecca for fantastic beaches and coves. Costa Brava has a variety of scenic coastlines and rugged cliffs, and this is where you can take part in a range of outdoor activities that include parasailing, hiking, golfing, scuba diving, windsurfing, and more. 
 
There are various towns in Costa Brava where you can stay. Tossa de Mar is a former fishing village with a beautiful beach and narrow, winding streets, as well as the ruins of a Roman settlement. If you are looking for a quiet atmosphere with a sprinkling of modern bars and restaurants, Tossa de Mar is for you.

Lloret de Mar, on the other hand, is famous for its nightlife. Those who are looking for a bit of excitement can find it here, with its live bands and nightly performances. 
 
What to do in Costa Blanca
As its name implies, Costa Blanca (“blanca” is Spanish for “white”) has lots of white, sandy beaches on its shoreline. There are various orange and olive groves situated here, and visitors have plenty of options for dining, entertainment, and nightlife. If you would like to go scuba diving, you can do so from the town of Denia, which is the jump-off point for the popular Balearic Islands. In Benidorm, you can enjoy the sun and sand with your family with the largest theme park in Spain, as well as an aquarium, a chocolate museum, and more bars and restaurants.

What to do in Costa del Sol
Travellers of all ages would be hard pressed not to find something that pleases them in Costa del Sol. This famous destination boasts of the world-famous Marbella, with its golf courses and lovely beaches, amongst other attractions. Neria is another place that is dedicated to outdoor-lovers, who can spend time rock climbing, hiking, and biking in its forests and mountains.
