With his most recent work "One Piece at a Time", Brooklyn artist Jonathan Brand has built each and every component of a 1969 Mustang coupe at 1:1 scale using only paper. He used digital drawings as a base, then reproduced the construction plans using a large-format ink jet printing device. The pieces ended up being carefully cut out and folded perfectly into a large selection of items such as spark plugs, a radiator, as well as the individual tire treads. The final work aren't going to be put together into a complete car, but instead exhibited as smaller sculptures.
