Simon Dale constructed this wonderful house with the assistance of his close friends. The house seemed to be designed with maximum regard for the natural environment and by reciprocation provides us an unique chance to live close to mother nature. The house is actually dug into hillside and even foundations as well as wall surfaces were built from rock and dirt from diggings. Straw bales were used to construct walls, flooring and roofing for super insulation. That is not all, you will find a naturally cooled freezer inside, cooled by fresh air coming underground through foundations, watter provided by surrounding spring and also solar panel system which provides electric power for lighting, computer and music. Wood-burner is used for home heating. To obtain the most of the heat, the flue passes through a huge stone-plaster lump to maintain and slowly emits the heat.
