Volcano Nyiragongo Crater

This volcano is located in the heart of the Great Lakes region in Africa. In the center of this crater is a lake of lava, which then goes to sleep, then come alive again. Down to it is dangerous without special equipment. Smoke and sulfur fumes can kill. The volcano erupted in 1977 and 2002, completely wiping out much of the city of Goma in Congo.
