Patterned by Nature is a huge 10 ft by 90 ft sculpture made from 3, 600 pieces of LCD glass, which is hanging inside the five-story atrium of the recently opened North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences in Raleigh. This massive display cycles through clips of 20 patterns found in nature, including flying birds to strobing cuttlefish skin. Furthermore, due to the fact there isn't any back light the whole display works on only 75 watts, around what it takes to power a laptop computer.
