Tomb Raider:
Tomb Raider revolves around the story
of Lara Croft, before she was an adventurer and a woman with warrior
instincts. Developed by Crystal Dynamics, the story uncovers the true
identity of Lara, as she finds herself in the middle of a deserted
island. The game tries to take a closer look into the life and times
of Lara, who evolves from a cute little girl to the survivor woman,
as she takes on an epic journey of survival. With a raw gameplay
feature, the game tries to define the character Lara Croft and
narrates her story with the most gripping storyline in the franchise,
till date.
Grand Theft Auto V:
The game needs no explanation, does
it? However, this fifth installment of the popular franchise is set
in the backdrops of Los Santos, based on modern day California. The
next chapter in the saga is expected to be massive, more open and
probably for the first time have three playable characters. The
characters will be able to show more human capabilities in this title
and engage in various worldly activities such as skiing, base
jumping, scuba diving and others. The mission based narrative game,
is expected to roll out in Q2, 2013.
Injustice – Gods among Us:
Injustice comes from the developers of
Mortal Kombat – NetherRealm Studios, in association with DC Comics.
The game’s story and concept is conceived by the writers of DC
comics and revolves around an era where the distinction between Good
and Evil was unclear. The world’s best known superheroes – the
Batman, Superman, Flash, Wonder Woman and others are shown losing
their virtues in this game and fighting for the evil. With a
cinematic narration, the game follows the path of Mortal Kombat in
its gameplay features, where the players can select a character and
go for a combating campaign. Expected to hit the market in the end of
Q1, 2013!
DmC:
DmC is set to roll out as a
franchise-redefiner, where the gameplay will be more brutal, intense
and dark. The concept revolves around the protagonist – Dante, who
feels cast-off among the demons and angels. The story unfolds, as he
tries to learn to tackle this alienated feeling and slowly realizes
what it feels like to be the son of an angel and a devil. He learns
new tricks and receives new powers that take him further to the plot.
It is scheduled for a January roll out.
Crysis 3:
Developed by Electronic Arts, the game
rolls out as the third installment to the Crysis franchise and will
run on Cry Engine. This futuristic game sees the return of the
Prophet to New York in 2047, only to realize that the entire city is
quarantined under a nanodome, developed by a criminal mastermind. He
sees the once magnificent and alive city, is now a wild-swamp with
treacherous conditions. How he uncovers the man behind this act and
how he avenges on him forms the rest of the story. Releasing this Q2,
2013!
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell:
Blacklist Preview:
The sixth installment of the legendary
franchise picks up from the instances of its earlier venture. The
narration begins with the President officially shutting down the
corrupt Third Echelon, and replacing it with the Fourth Echelon,
headed by Sam Fisher. Amidst the process of rigorous shutdown, a team
of 12 brutal terrorists emerge out to spread massacre across the
United States. How Fisher uses his newly recruited team to track and
take down the terrorists forms the rest of the plot. To be released
in Q2, 2013.
BioShock Infinite:
BioShock Infinite, moves away from the
underwater environment of the first two titles and puts the players
in the fictional-floating city of Columbia. Set in the period of the
1920’s, the players take up the role of Booker Dewitt, a former
private eye, whose aim is to bring back a little girl called
Elizabeth. But, the only concern is that the search is going to be
across a city that floats in mid-air. How Dewitt cruises through the
flying-city and retains the girl from evil hands fills the rest of
the story. Releasing – Q1, 2013.
Dead Space 3:
Developed by Visceral Games, the title
stars Isaac Clarke and John Carver, who are on a mission to discover
and completely terminate the source of the Necromorph episode. They
land on an unknown-frozen planet called Tau Volantis, and traverse
across treacherous terrains and endure several avalanches,
snow-storms, freezing conditions and numerous enemy battles amidst
all odds to complete their objectives. The game offers a co-op mode
with a friend or a single player campaign and is expected to roll out
in Q1, 2013.
Metal Gear Rising – Revengeance:
Set after the instances of Metal Gear
Solid 4, the story revolves around Raiden, once a feared soul, whose
proficiency in combats has lead him to undergo military training and
other battalion duties before he is informed about a surprise. The
game depicts Raiden, turning into a cyborg that sports a
high-frequency sword, which is sent to clash against the endless
array of enigmatic cyborgs. Published by Konami, the game is set for
a Q1, 2013 release.
The Walking Dead – Survival
Instinct:
The gaming adaptation of the popular
television franchise brings back the dead from the graves to offer
ultimate thrill to the players. Gamers play as Daryl Dixon, who
weapons a cross-bow and goes on a quest to reach Atlanta, which he
feels is safe! The players have to be careful in their progression as
the undead are constantly on the lookout for human activities with
their sense of sight, smell and sound. Any miscalculated move may
trigger an alarm among the zombies, which relatively zeroes the
chances of survival. So, the players can take a path of silence and
stealth if they do not possess the courage or hit the streets with
killer instincts if they feel they can squash through every other
zombie that is spawned. But, can they? Release – To Be Announced,

gamers have been patiently yet eagerly waiting for. Every game
mentioned here is promising in its storyline and gameplay, but which
